Dr Darren Leukefeld (Chiropractor)

Chiropractor Bachelor of Applied Science, Bachelor of Chiropractic Science

Darren’s approach to Chiropractic care involves identifying strategies that will benefit the long-term wellbeing of his patients. He values creating long-term relationships with his patients and working with them to help in the prevention of pain. This ensures his patients receive an outstanding level of care.

Darren graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2004 and immediately started private practise in Sydney Australia. He is a proud member of the Chiropractic Association of Australia as well as the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association.

Since completing his double degree, Darren has spent considerable time focusing on structural rehabilitation of the spine. This technique is called Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP). The focus of CBP is to help restore an individual’s spine and posture to a healthy state called the Ideal Spine. Rehabilitation is designed to reduce stress on the body, potentially slowing the progression of pain and arthritis. Darren advocates spinal check ups for the whole family if there is any evidence of a spinal disorder or pain.

Darren also incorporates the Webster Technique when assessing and treating pregnant women.

She now loves helping people manage their stress and stay healthy and happy.

Michelle Bautista

Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences (Audiology), Diploma of Remedial Massage, Cert IV Massage Therapy Practice, Cert III in Children’s Services, Lifeline Telephone Counsellor

Michelle’s mission in life is to help people feel their best in every way. She has always been fascinated by the human body and, for decades, she searched for and studied various treatments which help support others to feel less pain and to thrive in a challenging world. She found that, through remedial massage therapy, she can use both the science and art of massage to bring about positive impacts to every individual she treats. Her goal is to decrease pain and improve movement and function wherever possible. Here in our practice, she has created a safe and supportive healing space where each client can leave feeling more balanced and whole. She incorporates a wide variety of techniques and has over 10 years of experience treating clients from all ages and healthcare needs. Michelle tailors each treatment specific to each person and has been trained in trigger point therapy, myofascial cupping, mobilisation, positional release techniques as well as deep tissue, sports, remedial, relaxation and pregnancy massage.

Michelle was previously a team therapist for the NRL Wests Tigers and enjoyed the buzz and energy of working in the footy sheds on game days and travelling with the team. She has also worked in various roles in different industries prior to finding her dream career and feels that she has an eclectic collection of life experiences. She believes that genuine connection with others along with care, understanding and respect for all are keys to lasting health and happiness. She’s also a mum of 3 (including a set of twins) and finds each day an adventure.
